| Lyd met me at Men’s’ Wear house for the fitting of my tux for the wedding. – No tux! Bill Perkins, the store manager, learned that the distribution center in Houston had ignored his instructions to have the tux delivered to JAX on April 9. In fact, the tux had been sent by normal delivery to Tampa and would be in JAX on the 16th, the day we were due to fly. Bill, sensing my frustration, assured me that I would have a tux on Tuesday, even if he had to alter one on the rack and loan it to me for the event. Although he would be off on Tuesday, he assured me that matters would be resolved. He called the house at 1700 to report that another tux had been ordered from Houston and would be FedExed on Tuesday. |
