The Bedroom Headboard
For the last few years, we have been dissatisfied with the fabric-covered headboard that Lyd constructed many years ago.  We wanted a bookcase-style headboard but couldn't find one in king size. So... we decided to build our own.
We purchased finished lumber from Lowe's and constructed a king-size bookcase headboard This is a side view The front view prior to painting. We decided on a Tuscan accent finish. Here, Lyd is applying the base coat. After applying the accent coat, small "blisters" appear. A gentle scraping of the blisters exposes the Tuscan effect.
