Christmas Eve

Kate and Sal set up their air mattress in the living room with Jack's bed nearby.  In the late morning, they took Jack for a walk and found a near-by elementary school with a fenced playground. By protecting the only unguarded gate, they were able to let him run loose for a while. Bill talked to Victor and the Men's Oyster Day is off as Victor just isn't up to it. We went to the market and Kate prescribed some OTC meds to help him feel better. We dropped them off at Victor's and picked up part of the oysters. For lunch, Bill, Sal and Tom had roasted oysters. In the afternoon, with most of the family napping, Vic and Jean dropped by for a brief visit. Future plans for the week are unsure. Later, Jerry called from Texas and visited with Lyd and Kate. Crab cakes were featured for dinner.
Kate showed some of the results of "supporting the economy" yesterday. Great cookin' is going on in the kitchen.
