Tom participated in the Quality Assurance Review (QAR) Team that recommended district accreditation for the St. Johns County School District of Florida.

Tuesday was spent in the schools. Dr. Paul Kirk was our most informative driver as he took Shelly and me to South Woods Elementary and then to R.J. Murray Middle School. A school visit normally starts with a tour of the building. This is followed by a meeting with the principal and his/her leadership team. We elected to split this out and interview the leadership team without the principal and then the principal without the leadership team. These interviews are then followed by interviews with the SAC/PTO and then selected stakeholders. Students are interviewed when opportunities arise. When all were accumulated, our 8-member team interviewed in excess of 300 stakeholders.
