Tom participated in the SACS-CASI annual conference in Orlando, Florida. Training sessions and networking opportunities enhanced his progression in accreditation activities. Though this enhances the district's application for district-wide accreditation, Tim Ballentine, Tom's Supervisor, would not grant Temporary-Duty-Elsewhere (TDE) leave.

December 8

The drive down was effortless and I'm in room 1118. The 1st session involved 21st Century Learning and had an international flair. The general assembly was around the theme of Maximizing Student Success. We were entertained by the band from Celebration K-8 School Mark Elgart, CEO, of AdvancEd gave us an update Later, at the Florida Reception, Leila Mousa, Peggy Williams and Alvin White attended. Alvin said his goodbyes as he retired as Florida Chairman.
