This was the 1st day of competition. I read questions in room PQ for both Round 1 and Round 2. Dinner was at the California Grill at 1930.
<<<The California Grill
The California Grill continues to be our favorite restaurant at WDW. This is our 21st visit in the last three years. Here is tonight's menu. We had already decided that tonight was nothing but sushi...no beef...no liver...just sushi!
Greg Schwartz, a guest service manager, greeted us in response to notes from his colleague at the Flying Fish.
Tom enjoyed three Maker's Mark Manhattans (8@), while Lyd had a pair of Vodka Martinis (7.25@)
We each started with the seasonal Medusa Roll of crispy soft shell crab with asparagus, spicy mayonnaise and yuzu pepper sauce (20@)
Gary pours Tom Remy Martin Louis XIII Cognac
[Not really...this stuff is $135/oz]
We were playing!
Yoshie questioned us about our sushi preferences--eel, tempura, spicy mayo, tuna, etc....
...and then produced this! It appears on the bill as "Maku No Uchi(40), but really defies description. It has a little bit of everything we like. It is a platter made to order!

Gary, from Honolulu, Yoshie, from Okinawa, and Dennis are our CG family. They provide good food, good drink, and pixie dust!
