Driveway Extension

Even before we took possession of the house, we had determined that we wanted to put an extension of the driveway outside the west entrance to the family room. This would provide a place to turn cars around and a convenient place to off-load groceries and other stuff. After a few phone calls, we contracted with D & S Quality Paving in nearby Eden, MD. They gave us a quote the end of July of $1,300 for the work and then, on Aug 13th, installed the pad. We do recommend their work. Write to me for contact information.

Down to Dirt First, they took us down to bare dirt to prepare the site. They scraped off the grass and prepared the site with weed retardant Add the Asphalt Next, the guys added the hot asphalt to the cleared patch, spread it, rolled it and tamped it down. The Finished Product After spreading, rolling, tamping and finishing, we are very pleased with the outcome. We'll stay off of it until Saturday, the 16th.
