Lyd had blood work early in the morning and then went to get her hair done. As a reward for her bravery (the blood work, not the hair), we then went to Sakura, Japan for lunch. Cindy had a day off, but Chen and Ken took good care of us. We met some folks at a nearby table celebrating a birthday.
Tom started with the Miso Soup, which comes with the dinner.
Lyd chose the Seafood Soup (4.50) which is rich with seafood and veggies.
We've never had Sake before, so we tried a warmed sample (3.50). It was very good. Ken warms it in the microwave for about 10 seconds before serving.
It seems they always surprise us with a little something. Today's tasty was Pepper Tuna.
Tom's lunch was Shrimp Tempura (13.95). It comes with soup and salad.
Lyd has a Fantasy Roll of salmon, cucumber and avocado with spicy tuna on top. (8.95)
Our new friends showed us their Birthday Dessert of fried bananas and green tea ice cream.
As always, every visit to Sakura, Japan is a delight.
