Buddy's Two-month page
6/17/2009
Hi, It's Buddy again! I've been here about 2 months now, and Dad says I can post another page.
Dad gives me scritches pretty much whenever I want them. Grammy comes for dinner every Saturday, Sunday and Wednesday and she gives me scritches, too.
I like scritches almost as much as naps! There's a gate that keep me in the family room most of the time. Sometimes they forget to put up the gate and I can go in the living room and chew on somethin' Mom calls Po-Po-Ree. It's a lot of fun and really tasty, but Mom gets really red in the face and fusses at me when I do that. I roll over on my back [Dad calls it submissive] and Mom forgives me and gives me a treat. Now-a-days, treats are little biscuits from Milk Bone. I was getting some pretty exotic treats, but they made my tummy funny and after I whoopsied a few times, those funny treats went away. Sometimes they try to trick me with those treats. When Mom and Dad need to be out of the house for a few hours, they like to put me in a little jail in the family room. Sometimes they throw a little treat in the jail and when I go in there to get it....Damn, they close the door. The last few weeks, when Dad goes to the store, he lets me stay in the chair and doesn't put me in the jail. I'm trying to be good and so far, it's working. I'll let you know. If they'd just leave me out and leave the gate down, I'd finish that Popo stuff.
Although Grammy comes three nights a week, some others visit, too..
Nico is Mom and Dad's grandson. He comes with his Mom and Dad. He's kinda fragile and I'm supposed to be really gentle around him. Something tells me he's gonna' get bigger than me.
Jack comes when Nico comes. Jack is BIG. I'm not sure he likes me. He's REALLY big, but he sleeps even more than I do, so, it's cool.
Sometimes I help Mom with the crossword puzzle out in the sun room. I like this room as there are lots of windows so I can look outside. Lately, I've seen a lot of critters Dad calls Bunnies. I'd REALLY like to go out and meet the bunnies. I might play with them, but I might, well....eat them! Dad won't let me out to chase the bunnies.
The best part of livin' here, still, is the sleepin'! Mom and I usually go to bed a little after 8. Dad comes up a few hours later. This time of year, the birds start singing around 3. I'm usually finished with sleeping around 5 and I need to well, you know.....go. Mom is pretty good about it, but Dad doesn't get up until after 6!
Well, that's my report for June. Nico and Jack and their parents will come and visit, again in July. If Dad says it's OK, I'll post another page. Arooooooo!
