Hurricane Fred

Fred began as Tropical Depression 7 in the eastern Atlantic on September 7th. By the 9th, he had become a Category 3 hurricane at 120 mph, moving north. By the 11th, he had lost a lot of strength and turned west. As reported at 1700 on the 12th, Fred has disappeared without ever threatening land.
