Cactus Taverna |
1/12/2010 |
Victor and Elaine are back in Florida for the rest of January, so Margaret elected a return to Cactus Taverna for the three of us.
Our last visit was less than satisfactory, but this time, it was quite good, and
we'll put them back on the list of fine dining.
We started with the complimentary chips and salsa, which is quite good. |
Lyd chose a Dewar's and Soda (6). |
Margaret and Tom each selected the house Margarita, up and with no salt (6). |
Margaret and Maudie split an order of Fried Oysters (7.95). |
Margaret enjoys the Shrimp Cancun of 6 butterflied jumbo shrimp broied with white wine and butter then topped with a creamy seafood sauce, (16.95) which usually produces leftovers for her. |
Lyd selected a Chicken Florentine (17.95), which was not much to her liking. |
Tom's choice was a Grouper Filet (16.95) of a 12 ounce filet lightly encrusted with Parmesan cheese and topped with a light, creamy white wine sauce with artichoke hearts and mushrooms, which was excellent. |
All of the entrees are accompanied by a signature dish of Black Beans and Rice. |
The dinner is finished with a complimentary glass of Port. |
