Though we discussed dessert with Charmaine, we didn’t order any, so we were mystified when Tanzanian Chocolate Crème Brulee with a Citrus Financier and Chocolate-Hazelnut Bark appeared. Our confusion was increased when it wasn’t on the bill. Gary, the manager for the evening, explained that, based on our conversations with Charmaine, it was he who had ordered the dessert and that’s why it wasn’t on the bill, though it would have been $12.
