Lyd had never seen the Grand Canyon, so we booked "Southwest Splendors," an "Adventure by Disney."

At 0500, it’s 37O at the Grand Canyon airport. Bag pull was at 0630, as is breakfast. At 0730, we were on the road to Monument Valley. We went through the Navajo Reservation, which does observe Daylight Savings, though the rest of Arizona does not. We saw shacks in the middle of open terrain, obviously devoid of electricity and/or plumbing.
