Tom officiated at the 27th Commissioner's Academic Challenge at the Contemporary Hotel at Walt Disney World.
We stayed at Bay Lake Tower.
Brown Derby
Danielle was our server. Lyd had a pair of Fess Parker Riesling (9@). Feeling a bit dehydrated, I had iced tea (2.99). We decided on a lunch of appetizers, choosing the first four. Lyd had #1: Asparagus Soup with Jumbo Lumb Crab, Sweet Pepper Relish and Sherry Gastrique (10) and #3: Blue Lump Crab Spring Rolls, Snow Crab Claw, and an Asian slaw with spicy Miso Aiolo (13). I had #2: Brie, Midnight Moon, and Prosciutto Cake with Tete de Moine Petals, and an Olive-roasted Vegetable Salad (11) and #4: Feuilles de Brick Napoleon of Bleu Affinee, Wild Mushroom Duxelles, Grilled Portobello, Golden Chanterelles, and a fig reduction (11). Debbie Sacleux, Area Manager visited with us and insisted that she treat us to the Grapefruit Cake—Brown Derby Original of light layers of yellow cake with fresh grapefruit-cream cheese icing. Craig Schleider, Chef de Cuisine, also visited with us.
