After 24 years on the federal bench, Vic retired as a Federal Magistrate.
We picked up Margaret at 1515 and, true to Vic’s arrangements; Sherriff’s deputies were standing by to help her in to the courthouse.
In a packed courtroom, with over 30 judges in attendance, Vic’s successor was sworn in and Vic’s official portrait was unveiled.
At the end of the 90-minute ceremony, Margaret was too tired for the reception, so we took her home.
Only the official videographers were permitted to take pictures.
On Friday, Brian and Jerry came for a visit before heading back to Texas.
