I did a little marketing for provisions for the beach.
We left the house about 1140 and dropped Buddy off at Weeping Willow Kennels.
We headed for Ocean City and decided on a lunch at Captain’s Galley in West Ocean City.
We were pleased to learn that, although lunch is generally served only upstairs, the restaurant will gladly serve us, with Margaret’s wheelchair, down-stairs. Lyd and I each had a cup of Cream of Crab Soup which was quite good though Margaret might find it a little salty.
Lyd moved on to the Fried Oyster Sandwich and I had a Shrimp Salad Sandwich.
Both were very good.
From Captain’s Galley, we moved up the beach to 17th street and the Holiday Inn.
Though it was only 1300, they checked us in and assigned us to 519, an Ocean Front room and put the kids in 502, facing south.
We put their stuff in their room and Lyd took a walk on the beach.
We sat out on the balcony and enjoyed the surf.
It’s quite hazy, with no shadows.
At 1800. we went down to the Café and Hemingways.
The menu is the same in both rooms; Hemingway’s has tablecloths and no TV.
Lyd had ¾ pound of steamed shrimp (19.85) and I had twin grilled lobster tails (31.95).
We went back to the room and listened to the surf.
