28th Commissioner's Academic Challenge

We returned to the Contemporary Resort Convention Center for the 28th Commissioner's Academic Challenge, Tom's 16th.

They have a very small dining room, so they can’t accommodate any early parties, and, in fact, were turning away many guests after telling them that they were fully booked for the evening.
After a short wait, Laura (who is earning her ears) seated us.
Jessica was our server, and Carrie’s assistant Kiki, dropped by for a visit.
I started with a bottle of Maudite beer (7.25) and we ordered a bottle of
Fogarty Gevertz (45).
We both had the Lobster Salad (16) of Mixed Field Greens, Haricot Verts, Avocado, Tomatoes, and "Lake Meadow" Egg.
Lyd moved on to the “Le Cellier” Mushroom Filet Mignon (43) of AAA Canadian Beef Tenderloin with Wild Mushroom Risotto, White Truffle-Butter Sauce, and Micro Chervil.
I had the Seared Veal Tenderloin (42) with Parsnip, Baby Brussels Sprouts, Wild Mushrooms, and Grain Mustard Jus.
For dessert, Lyd ordered the Neopolitan Cappuccino Cake (10) of Cappuccino Mousse, Caramel-Pretzel, and Chocolate Cake, but, thanks to Kiki, it came out with
Pistachio Cake of Pistachio Cream Cheese, "L8 Harvest" Melon Tartar, and Pickled Watermelon Rind and
White Chocolate Cheesecake with a Citrus Shortbread Cookie, Seasonal Berries, and Raspberry Air.
