From there it was on to the Tower of London where we entered through a separate gate from the general public. Our guide told us of the history of the tower. He left us when we went in to see the Crown Jewels, where photography is not allowed. I later asked one of the Yeoman Warders about his background and about the nightly securing of the keys, both described by Tom Clancy in his book Patriot Games, and asked if it was factual. His response: "Bang On!" I found shirts for the boys and had a sandwich and iced tea from a kiosk near the tower.
