At 0619, it’s 73 and hazy, with only a 20% forecast for rain.
At 0900, we left the room headed for EPCOT only to find the resort beam of the monorail down.
We walked over to the Magic kingdom and then took the ferry back to the Ticket and Transportation Center.
There, we picked up the EPCOT monorail.
Upon arrival at EPCOT, I picked up the FastPasses; 3 “wild cards” for any attraction at any time in EPCOT for the 6 of us.
We all converged at Spaceship Earth, but got all separated in the line.
Jackie, a cast member, got us all back together.
After leaving Spaceship Earth, we used one of our Super Fast Passes at Soarin’.
Kate, Dominic, Lyd and I enjoyed the ride.
From there, the 6 of us rode on The Universe of Energy.
We took the boat from Mexico to Germany and went to Via Napoli for a pair of pizzas.
We visited the railroad near Germany and then took the boat back to Mexico.
We had intended to go to Imagination and see the Captain Eo film, but that idea was scrapped and I gave the two remaining Super Fast Passes to a passing family.
The resort monorail is still down.
After brief naps, Lyd and I took a cab to the Grand Floridian for dinner at Citricos at Table #35.
Gwen was our server.
Many old friends spent a portion of the evening with us, including Chef Phil, Sous Chef Jonathan, David Russell (recently returned), Viviana (from Victoria and Alberts) and the servers from Wednesday.
Lyd had all sign our menu.
We started with drinks of Makers Mark Manhattan (9.50) and Bombay Sapphire Martini (8.75).
We split an order of the Mussells (12) and then the Artisan Cheese Trio (14).
Lyd had the Veal Shank (53) and I had the Monkfish (38).
The monorail was working again when it was time to return to Bay Lake Tower.
