The Plan: We expect to be picked up by Sonia, of Andrew's Transportation, at 0730 for the 90 minute drive to Philadelphia International Airport (PHL). We'll board AA2815 for a 1055 departure for Orlando International Airport (MCO), arriving at 1338. Chris, of Mear's Transportation will meet us in baggage claim and take us to Bay Lake Tower at Walt Disney World. We'll head for Wave Lounge (now called Steakhouse 71 Lounge) for a drink, before securing my scooter, from Buena Vista Rentals, at 1645. From there, it's a monorail over to the Grand Floridian and an 1805 dinner at Citricos.
Though the alarm was set for 0630, we were both up a little after 6. At 0630, it’s 25o, here in Wyomissing, and we’re headed for our spring Holiday at Walt Disney World. Sonia arrived at 0720 for the uneventful drive to PHL, though the last 5 miles of the Blue Route was pretty congested. Check-in was easy as was TSA. We walked to gate B5 and ordered a pair of Long Island Iced teas (17). Linda called to wish us a good trip. We boarded and left the gate at 1055, on-time. At 1118, the captain informed us we’re down to 1 runway, with a 20 minute guess for departure. We finally departed 9L at 1144. We had drinks on the plane and arrived, on-time, in Orlando. Chris was waiting for us and took us to Bay Lake Tower. Our room wasn’t ready, so we left our bags with the bellman and went over to the Steak House 71 Lounge. Lyd had glasses of Fess Parker Riesling (12), and I had a Tito’s and Tonic (15.50). We shared an order of crab cakes (15). A text from Buena Vista Rentals offered to deliver my scooter early, which I accepted. We went to Bayview Gifts and purchased alcoholic supplies for the room. We took the resort monorail over to the Grand Floridian, and learned that Elizabeth was not playing at V&A this evening, and went to dinner at Citricos. We were back in the room in time to catch the 2015 fireworks. At 2040, it’s 76o on Bay Lake.
