We are trying Telia Greek for Wednesday's dinner out. With a 1700 reservation, we were the first guests. Lyd ordered a Hendricks Martini and a glass of a Greek Red wine, while I had ginger ale (3). We split an order of Pikilla (15) with spreads of tzatziki (Greek yogurt, cucumber, garlic and dill); tyrokafteri (roasted red peppers, feta, and olive oil) and fava(split pea, olive oil, capers and onion). I sent a picture to Gus and he responded: “Enjoy Telia.” Minutes later, manager/owner George stopped at our table to tell us the drinks were on Gus. Lyd moved on to the Mediterranean Shrimp Pasta (32) of sauteed shrimp, tossed in garlic, white wine, with a medley of artichokes, olives, capers, spinach, tomatoes in bucatini pasta topped with feta. I had Lamb shank yvetsi (33) of a slowly braised lamb shank over tomato orzo. For dessert, Lyd had a Greek bread pudding (10) and I enjoyed the traditional baklava (10). | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||
