Christina, from France, was our server. Lyd started with a Hendricks Martini (16) and I had a Makers Mark Manhattan (16). For her starter, Lyd ordered the Artisanal Cheese (19) from the dessert menu of Four Chef-selected Tasting Portions, Honeycomb, Quince Paste, Apricot Jam, Pumpkin Seed Brittle, & Cranberry Bread, and I had the Citrus-cured Hamachi (22) of Passion Fruit Nuoc Cham, Compressed Star Fruit, Pasilla Oil, and Blood Orange-puffed Tapioca. Lyd ordered the Guava-barbecued Short Ribs (52) with Aged Cheddar Creamy Grits, Roasted Poblano, Curtido Slaw, and Brussels Sprouts, accompanied by a glass of wine (29) and I selected the Grilled Pear Char Siu Porcelet Chop (46) with Baby Bok Choy, Miso Sweet Potato, & Compressed Asian Pear. For dessert, Lyd enjoyed a Nutty Irishman (6), and I selected the Macchiato (14) of Baileys Irish Cream Liqueur Coffee Cremeux, Espresso Veil, Coffee Sponge, Mascarpone Ice Cream, & Warm Morita Chile Chocolate Sauce. |
