| The Plan: We're off the boat around 0830, headed for the Portland Airport by motor coach. AA5337 departs Portland at 1240, arriving in PHL at 1418. Sonia will be waiting for us to return us to Wyomissing. | |||
| ROUGH DRAFT At 0545, it’s 67o in Portland, Maine. We skipped breakfast and were out of the room, as requested, by 0730. At 0745, they called for us to disembark and we headed for the busses, up on the quay. After the short ride to the airport, we checked in and went, quickly through TSA, encountering Michael, a Phil Silvers lookalike, from Ashville, NC, who had also been on the boat. We went to Linda Bean’s Lobster Café for lunch, where we were joined by “Sgt. Bilko.” Lyd had a Grilled Sourdough Breakfast Panini (14.99) with Cranberry Juice (3.99). I had a Farmer’s Omelet (16.99), also with Cranberry Juice, and a Tito’s Blood Orange Sunset (17.99). We hunkered down at Gate 11 to wait for the flight that finally boarded at 1219. Within minutes, we were off the ground. We landed 20 minutes early. A wheelchair and attendant awaited for the trek across Terminal F to baggage claim. Sonia picked us up, and at 1612, we were home. Kate brought Holly home at 1730. We had ham and chicken medley over toast for dinner and watched some random TV. At 2100, it’s 74o. |
