| Mark was already at the bar, and we had a round of drinks. Lyd had Sparkling Grapefruit (8.75) and I had Tito’s and Tonic (16.75). A little after 7 our table was ready. Lyd had the PB Hen (18) of Hen of the Woods Mushrooms, Pickles, & Sweet Plantain Curry, and the Oak-grilled Filet Mignon (62) with Potato Purée, Seasonal Vegetable, & Sherry-Guajillo Beef Jus with a glass of Shafer (29). I started with Hamachi (22) of Passion Fruit Nuoc Cham, Compressed Star Fruit, Pasilla Oil, and Blood Orange-puffed Tapioca, followed by Short Ribs (54) of Aged Cheddar Creamy Grits, Roasted Poblano, Curtido Slaw, and Brussels Sprouts with Tito’s and Tonic (14.75). |
