Pregame:
INVITATION:
The Kingdom Keeper will issue an invitation to the teams of record to participate in the next adventure. The teams will be asked to RSVP by the requested date/time.
VACANCY:
If a vacancy appears among the 6 teams, the Player Manager will solicit a replacement. The replacement team will assume the resulting vacant position in the rotation and will select a character from those currently unassigned to a team.
BRIEFING:
Prior to the adventure, the Kingdom Keeper will distribute, by e-mail PDF attachment, a Mission Briefing page, displaying suspect(s), artifact(s) and location(s) that refute the guilty trio along with a listing of the current players, and the characters they represent.
ENTERING THE ROOM:
The Zoom address remains the same for each adventure. Upon entering the room, visitors are asked to mute their audio prior to the beginning of the adventure. The Kingdom Keeper will change the screen name of the player teams to their team #. Player teams are advised to remain on mute (to facilitate conferencing) until a verbal response is required.
HONORS: The team that goes first, will rotate, numerically, from the previous match.
MOVEMENT:
FIRST MOVE:
All characters begin in the hotel, unless, prior to their first move, they are summoned to a country. Characters in the hotel, when it is their first turn, will be invited to specify whether they will enter World Showcase at Future World Left, Future World Right, the Outpost or the International Gateway. They will then roll the dice and proceed along the boulevard.
DIE ROLL:
A character choosing to roll the die moves along the boulevard in the direction chosen. Countries may be entered at any point along their frontage. Entering a country ends movement. A character may NOT move into, or through, another character-occupied space on the boulevard. The die roll is done by the Clue Master and displayed at the lower end of the lake.
FRIENDSHIPS:
A character beginning its turn in a country with a Friendship Dock may choose to take the Friendship to any of the other three countries with a Friendship Dock. Movement is immediate to that country and movement ends upon entering that country.
SUMMONED:
A character named in a suggestion, who is not already in that suggested country shall be summoned to, and moved to, that country. A character summoned to, but not already in, a country, is eligible, in that character's turn, to make a suggestion without moving to another country.
SUGGESTIONS
When a character ends movement by entering a country, or has been summoned to a country, a suggestion of a suspect, artifact and country may be made. That suggestion may be for any suspeted character and any artifact, but must be for the country in which the suggester is located. The remaining characters, in numerical order, will be asked if they hold evidence to refute the suggestion. Should the suggestion name a character/suspect that is not already in that country, that character shall be summoned (moved) immediately to that country.
Details of the most recent suggestion, and the team refuting (but NOT the specific refutation) will be displayed below the showcase.
A suggestion is refuted by revealing the possession of a refuting card, via the chat function, to the team making the suggestion.
ACCUSATION
When a team chooses, during their turn, regardless of location, they may ACCUSE a specific suspect/character of stealing a specific artifact and hiding it in a specific country. The other teams will be polled, in numerical order, and, if the accusation is unrefuted - - - GAME OVER.
If, however, the accusation is false, the accusing team (in disgrace) loses all future moves and is relegated to refuting the suggestions of other teams.
POST-ADVENTURE>:
Following a discussion of who-had-what, and who-knew-what-when, the Player Manager will determine the status of each team for the next adventure.
The Kingdom Keeper will send, to all subscribers, 1) the evidence held by each team, 2) a log of the suggestions, and 3) a cumulative competition record.
