| Jun 2 | A dialogue with the MArvic partners was opened to discuss the disposition of the house. |
| May 22 | Bill returned to Colorado and we continued the process of closing down the house. |
| May 21 | I called the Registrar of wills and learned that the processing of Margaret’s estate is beyond my expertise and sent an email to Vic. We went out to the family cemetery and celebrated the interment. We had a conference call with Vic and he will handle the processing of the estate. We will empty the house and I will transfer the utility bills. Vic expects the initial processing and the release of the accounts to be done quickly though the final process will take 6-9 months. |
| May 20 | SKDL left at 0930 and Bill arrived moments later. He and Lew went out to the cemetery and pronounced it ready for tomorrow’s interment. Linda’s return flight was 90 minutes late getting out of PHL. |
| May 19 | Lew, Bill and I left at 1000 for Forest Grove Church. We had a very nice service, well attended. Kate’s eulogy followed mine and Billy, from Jerry Fletcher Catering, supplied dinner for 70. |
| May 18 | Bill and I met with Bruce Smith who gave us a list of things that have to be done. From there, we picked up Lew and Kate and went to 823 to confirm the distribution of the contents of the house. Jerry, Linda and Elaine came after 2 and we visited. Lew, Bill and I went to Holloway at 1600 for the viewing. We had a nice turnout and came back to the house after 7 for more family time. |
| May 17 | Invitations were sent to the family to gather at our house for both Friday and Saturday. Elbert and Marietta dropped in for a brief visit. Jerry and Linda landed around 1730 and went to Elaine’s. SKDL came in at 2045. Bill’s flights had delays and he didn’t get in until after 11. |
| May 15 | Notifications began and the family submitted travel arrangements. After originally deciding to come on Wednesday, Kate will come down with the boys Thursday evening. Jerry and Linda are coming Thursday but will stay elsewhere with Brian arriving Friday. Bill is coming Thursday evening and will stay at 823. Caregivers Mary and Edna with Mary’s daughter, visited. Jerry Fletcher will cater Saturday. |
