Decades ago, we discovered that Walt Disny World takes the opinions of its guests seriously.
We alawys responded to the comment card that used to come in the mail and now come in emails.
That method didn't give us the venue we needed to recognize that handfull of cast members, each visit, that went the extra mile in looking after our enjoyment of WDW.
Therefore, we created our Pixie Dust List. We carry business cards on-property that we hand out when we encounter someone special.
They read:
"You Made Our Pixie Dust List.
Today, you made our visit more magical and we're telling Disney all about it."
Each trip, soon after retuning home, we send our list to Guest Communications, where, we've been told, they have a "file" on us.
After our nominees are positively identified, our emailed comments are sent to each cast member and to his/her supervisor.
This is our small way of saying thanks.

Ben was the driver/guide of Simba I, a tour vehicle on the Killamanjaro Safari. He really knew his stuff, but so do the rest of the drivers. What earned Ben a spot on our Pixie Dust List was his delivery. He was excited at spotting the animals and that excitement was infectious. His delivery was not a canned speech.

When we arrived at the Animal Kingdom, a security guard directed us to a ticket window to activate our renewed annual passes. There we encountered Amy and her trainee, Gary, sporting his “Earning My Ears” ribbon. He was brand new and renewing annual passes by voucher is not a rudimentary task. His enthusiasm was without limit as he patiently worked his way through the task and explained it to me at the same time. Such enthusiasm earned them both a spot on our Pixie Dust List.

David Russell, a server at Citricos, is making a repeat appearance on our Pixie Dust List. We recognized him in September of 2013, but his continued performance at Citricos continues to impress us. He is friendly, enthusiastic, and very professional. He’s also a character in the finest sense of the word. He really enhanced our dining experience.

Craig and Kristen are a tag-team of bartenders at the Flying Fish Café. They’re very friendly and work very well together. They added a lot to our dining experience for the evening.

Maria is a sales rep at L.A. Props, where we often stop for grandson gifts at Hollywood Studios. She walked us around the shop and we discussed a variety of choices before making our selections and sending them back to the hotel. We chatted like old friends. She is an example of what we believe Walt Disney valued.

Ochi is a sushi chef at the California Grill. We sat at the sushi counter watching his artistry and, when we saw something we couldn’t identify, asked what it was. Within minutes, he surprised us with a pair of tasty Pork Belly Nigiri. That was a surprise, as he was very busy. It was nice of him to take the time to spread a little sushi pixie dust.

We missed our reservation for lunch and the restaurant had stopped serving. George, the Bartender at the Wave, was very knowledgeable about the appetizers and drinks. He asked us questions and helped us to decide what we wanted. There was a lot of personality and it was evident he enjoys his job.
