Pixie Dust List

Decades ago, we discovered that Walt Disny World takes the opinions of its guests seriously. We alawys responded to the comment card that used to come in the mail and now come in emails. That method didn't give us the venue we needed to recognize that handfull of cast members, each visit, that went the extra mile in looking after our enjoyment of WDW. Therefore, we created our Pixie Dust List. We carry business cards on-property that we hand out when we encounter someone special. They read:
"You Made Our Pixie Dust List.
Today, you made our visit more magical and we're telling Disney all about it."

Each trip, soon after retuning home, we send our list to Guest Communications, where, we've been told, they have a "file" on us. After our nominees are positively identified, our emailed comments are sent to each cast member and to his/her supervisor. This is our small way of saying thanks.

We went to the Animal Kingdom Lodge and Jiko. We had a brief wait before being seated at the Cooking Place. Ron, a cast member since opening, was our server. He was a jovial fellow, full of recommendations and very knowledgeable about both the food and the history of Jiko. He added enough to our dining experience to earn him a spot on our Pixie Dust List.

We took refuge from a rain shower at Mama Melrose, 30 minutes before our reservation time. We were seated quickly and Rachid was our server, and was charming and offered well-informed opinions on the menu, earning a spot on our Pixie Dust List.

At 1845, we walked over to the Contemporary and checked in on the 2nd floor for the California Grill. We were whisked upstairs and seated at our normal two seats at the Sushi Counter. We were greeted quickly by Emma, who has been making sushi for about 3 years and was a Pixie Dust Lists member back in June. She presented us with a Fig brulee amuse bouche of her creation. We watched her grinding away at some sort of root vegetable which she revealed to us in a taste of Salmon roll with real freshly ground wasabi, something rarely seen at sushi counters. With such customer interest, Emma was added to our Pixie Dust List for a second time.
