Audrey Welsh

1923 - 2009

Audrey Welsh, 86, passed away November 18th at Genesis Nursing Home in Salisbury, Maryland. Born in Rochelle Park, NJ, Mother was the daughter of William and Emily Haeussler. Following high school, she graduated from the Julliard School of Music in New York City with a double major in Piano and Voice. In 1943, she married the love of her life, my dad, Wilbur Welsh. They had two sons, Steven, who was killed in 1957, and me. In 1963, we all moved from New Jersey to Mt. Dora, Florida where I finished high school and they spent the next 37 years. In Mt. Dora, Mother was active in PEO and practiced her musical skills in local churches and programs and gave piano lessons. In 2000, Mom and Dad moved to Jacksonville, Florida, just down the street from us. Dad died in 2001. In 2009, Audrey moved from Jacksonville to Salisbury to be nearer to us. Abiding by her request for no services, she will be interred with Dad, Dad's parents and Steven in The Hillside Cemetery in Scotch Plains, New Jersey.
