Fountain Restaurant
1/26/2010
Tuesday's dinner was at the Lagoon Bar and Grill at the Fountain Restaurant. We've not been in a while and they have changed the theme and, somewhat, the menu. We were quite pleased and we'll go again.
Laura was our server. She's a communications major and Spanish minor at SU. The yeast rolls are very good, replacing the Sally Lunn rolls they used to serve.
Margaret started with a Dewar's and Soda (7).
Lyd chose a Tangueray Martini (7.50).
Tom's selection, of course, was a Maker's Mark Manhattan (7.50).
Margaret and Lyd each had the Crab Bisque (5), while Tom had the New England Clam Chowder (4)
Margaret had the Stuffed Shrimp (18.99) of Johnny and Sammy's original recipe; triple treat of jumbo shrimp stuffed with crab imperial and wrapped in bacon.
Lyd selected the Pub Salad (10.99) of romaine tossed with ranch dressing and topped with grape tomatoes, red onion, bacon, egg wedges, cheddar cheese and hand-breaded chicken tenders.
Tom picked the St. Louis Ribs, (13.99) a half-rack of smoked ribs char-finished with raspberry chipotle BBQ sauce.
