Tom first met Bertina, from Lamberts Bay, South Africa, when she was working the dessert counter at the California Grill in April, 2000.
After some correspondence, she visited us in Jacksonville, for a weekend, in March, 2001.
In April, 2001, Tom went to CAC and he and Bertina had dinner and he saw her for the last time before she returned to South Africa.
For the next ten years, we tried to find Bertina, without success.
Finally, she has been found, married, and with her first child.
