We're sailing to and from New Orleans, aboard the "Queen of the Mississippi" on our 2nd cruise with American Cruise Lines.

At 1345, with 20+ other passengers we boarded a bus to Frogmore Cotton Plantation, back across the river in Frogmore, LA. We toured the historical portion and viewed the old slave quarters and the early model cotton gin. We then had an orientation to modern cotton picking and the modern, computerized ginning techniques. We learned about Crystallized Cotton Seed Oil (Crisco).
