We're sailing to and from New Orleans, aboard the "Queen of the Mississippi" on our 2nd cruise with American Cruise Lines.
We returned to the ship at 1700, and soon went down for cocktails. We sailed, promptly, at 1730 and started back downriver. At 1830, we went to the dining salon and our customary table, aft. Lyd started with the Louisiana Oyster’s Rockefeller and I had the Spinach and Goat Cheese Salad with Raspberry Vinaigrette. We both followed those with the Crab Stuffed Jumbo Gulf Shrimp with rice pilaf and citrus scented grilled asparagus. Lyd favored the crab stuffing and I preferred the shrimp, so we shared. For dessert, we both enjoyed the Key Lime Crème Brule. In the evening, Lyd stayed in the room and I went down for the trivia night and Bingo, winning a ladies small polo shirt.
