At 1915, we assembled to go to Ladurée for our farewell dinner. With the demonstrations still a factor, we had to detour numerous times to get to the restaurant on the left bank. This is a delightful little place that was closed for the evening to accommodate our party. I started with an Almond Scampi French Toast. I moved on to the filet of bass with grilled vegetables, lemon and thyme cream. We finished with desserts and their famous macaroons. Following a slide show of our adventures, we returned to the hotel, much more directly with less police presence. The city is beautiful at night with the spot lit Arc De Triumphe and the sparkling Eiffel Tower; truly the city of lights.
