At 0704, it’s 60 in Seattle, and (go figure) raining.
At 0830, we went down to the Hook and Plow, in the hotel.
Lyd had Dungeness Crab Eggs Benedict (19) and I had House Made Corn Beef Hash and Fried Egg Skillet (15).
At 1130, we took a cab ($10) to the
Space Needle.
We were quickly whisked up the 500 feet to the rotating (47 minutes) SkyCity Restaurant where Sara was our server.
We had a bottle of Lone Birch Gewurtz (39) and then we each had the Seattle Clam Chowder (9) and the Clams and Mussels (16) while we watch the panorama that is Seattle slide by.
After lunch, we stopped in the gift shop and secured shirts for the boys before grabbing a cab (10) back to the hotel.
After brief naps, I printed our boarding passes for tomorrow’s flights.
At 1730, we went down to the quick-serve joint and purchased a bottle of “white” wine (46) and some chips and nuts for “dinner.” |
