At 0505, it 51 with a low overcast enroute to Glacier Bay.
There is still no internet connection.
We stopped in Bartlett Cove to pick up our Park Ranger and Tlingit and then entered Glacier Bay.
Lyd skipped breakfast.
At 0800, the ranger gave us an introduction to the wildlife of the area and the Tlingit, Faith, shared some stories.
We cruised, slowly, past little Marble Island and saw sea lions and birds.
We turned into Tidal inlet in a futile search for bear, but did see mountain goats on Gloomy Knob.
Lunch was Pacific Oyster Stew (we couldn’t find any actual oysters) and Salmon-Rosemary burgers.
We drifted near Margerie Glacier for an hour, hoping it would calf, before turning south at 1400.
Though our bow wave pushes aside the smaller ice chunks, a few thunked into the bow.
Cocktails were at 1730 and dinner at 1830.
We both had a Cream of Brie Salad.
Lyd had Dungeness Crab Cakes and I had Rogue Hazelnut Spiced Rum Marinated Skirt Steak.
