With a goal of enjoying the EPCOT Food and Wine Festival and the Christmas Holiday decorations, we made our first trip to Walt Disney World in November. We were at Bay Lake Tower (BLT) at the Contemporary Hotel.

At 0650, it’s 67 and another beautiful day in Florida. We left the room about 0830 for the two-monorail ride to EPCOT. Upon our arrival, we were too early for our FastPasses to Soarin’ so we took in Spaceship Earth. From there, en route to The Land, we encountered Tom, from Chesterfield MI. Tom is a custodial cast member with a flair for comedy. His exuberant greetings earned him a place on our Pixie Dust List. With our FastPasses, we walked past a 30 minute line at Soarin’ and quickly boarded. It’s a great ride. Whereas we were already on the lower level of the Land pavilion, we took the boat ride Living With The Land. It’s amazing to see the stuff they are growing in these green houses and labs. En route to Imagination, we spotted a white heron stalking a lizard. He got it! After Imagination we walked out to World Showcase. We enjoyed the 360 Circle Vision show at Canada and walked to the Rose and Crown. After lunch, we headed back to the room. We left the room a little after 5 for our 6 o’clock reservation at Victoria and Albert’s. On the monorail back to Bay Lake Tower, Lyd gave her rose to a young mom who been married at WDW some years ago.
