2014
With a goal of enjoying the EPCOT Food and Wine Festival and the Christmas Holiday decorations, we made our first trip to Walt Disney World in November. We were at Bay Lake Tower (BLT) at the Contemporary Hotel.

Background
At 0630, it’s 66 and we slept with the sliding glass door open again in this great Florida weather. Lyd expressed some disapproval over the FastPass choice of Big Thunder Railroad so I changed it to Monster’s Inc. We left the room at 0830, headed for the Magic Kingdom. The park was already open this morning, so we headed for our first stop of Buzz Lightyear. We were a few minutes too early for our FastPasses so we went on the WEDway people mover of the Tomorrowland Transit Authority. Back in Buzz Lightyear’s Star Command, we think there was something wrong with my laser cannon as I only got about 18000 points to Lyd’s 37000. From there, we went on the Carousel of Progress, which we haven’t done in years. I turned off the flash and got a few pictures. The Laugh Floor at Monster’s Inc was very cute and should be appropriate for the grandsons in June. Hungry, we decided to skip our last FastPass for Haunted Mansion and head for lunch. We took the express monorail to the ticket and transportation center and changed to the EPCOT monorail. The blue train needed some maintenance so it took a while to get over to EPCOT. We went, first, to the Food and Wine Festival HQ to get information. We decided on New Zealand, where we each had venison sausage (8.50). Lyd also had a lamb meatball (5.25) and I had a few mussels (3.50), and, of course, two glasses of Pinot Noir (4.75). With early dinner plans of the Spirit of Aloha Dinner Show, we went back to the room for rest.
