Background
At 0608, it’s 74 at Walt Disney World. Just before 0900, we left the room, mailed a couple of post cards and boarded a bus for Animal Kingdom. When we arrived, Lyd purchased sun screen and a backpack to replace the one left of the tour bus the previous day. We then enjoyed Kilimanjaro Safari, which was packed with vehicles, but, at least on the plains, short on animals. We did get some good looks (and pictures) during the ride. When we disembarked, we were too early for the Festival of the Lion King, so stopped briefly for glasses of wine at Dawa Bar where we met Jessica, the Food and Beverage Manager for Africa at Animal Kingdom. The Festival of The Lion King was every bit as good as it has ever been; a high energy show. From there we walked the perimeter path to “Asia” and Yak & Yeti. We stopped at It’s Tough To Be a Bug on the way out of the park and back to the room for a little rest. We left again a little after 5 to take the monorail to The Grand Floridian and Victoria and Albert’s. We did get home in time to watch the fireworks out our balcony window, with audio coming from channel 105 on the resort TV network. We were both in bed by 2145 at 79.
