Background

We were seated, as requested, at the sushi counter.
I started with a Maker’s Mark Manhattan (10) and Lyd enjoyed a Bombay Sapphire Martini (9.25) To accompany our intended dinner, we also secured a bottle of Stelbach Riesling (67).
We each had the Crispy Rock Shrimp Salad (18) of spicy baby greens, Subarashii pears, soy reduction and wasabi cream.
Finally, Ochi and his sushi chefs plated 1) Dragon Roll (25) of spicy and Tataki tuna, shrimp tempura, avocado, Dragon sauce, Hijiki-Shirataki Salad; 2) Spicy Kazan Roll (26) of crab, shrimp, scallops, tuna, fireball sauce; and 3) California Combination Roll (24) of jumbo lump crab, avocado, cucumber, & shrimp tempura.
