We had a short wait at Rose and Crown as they didn’t open until noon.
We asked for a different table, still outside, as the first table offered was out in the sun.
Kate was our server.
Lyd enjoyed a double Tanqueray and Tonic (10) and, eschewing alcohol in the heat, I hydrated with iced tea (2.99).
Lyd chose a bowl of Potato Leek Soup (6.49) and I had the traditional Fish and Chips (19.99).
As the heat rose, we decided our Spring trips in the future would be in early March rather than April.
