Background
|
Though we were nearly an hour early, we were seated rather promptly and Maria was our server.
We started with a bottle of Canyon Road Merlot (39) and split an order of their spicy mussels (12).
Lew chose the Shrimp Campanelle (25) of sautéed shrimp and campanelle pasta tossed in a four-cheese sauce with cauliflower, sun-dried tomatoes, fresh spinach and sweet onions.
I picked the Sustainable fish of the day, which, today, was mahi-mahi (32) with potato gnocchi, mushrooms, wilted Swiss chard and white clam sauce.
For dessert, Lew picked the Tiramisu (7) of layers of Mascarpone and espresso soaked Lady Fingers topped with cocoa powder and whipped cream.
I selected the Traditional Cannoli (7) of house-made creamy Cannoli filling with a hint of citrus and dusted with cocoa powder.
We both added Tiramisu Martinis (9@) of Stoli Vanil Vodka, Kamora Coffee Liqueur and Vanilla Ice Cream in a chocolate-drizzled glass.
