Background
|
We split a bottle of the Fess Parker Riesling (39), a vintage we have previously enjoyed.
Lew moved on to the Crab Cake Appetizer (16) of 3 crab cakes with English cucumber, plum tomato slaw and sweet chili sauce.
I had Togarashi-Pumpkin seed-crusted Ahi Tuna (15) with house-made kimchi, sesame jasmine rice, saki and ginger-soy glaze.
Lew's entrée was the Grilled Wagyu Beef Burger (23) with gruyere cheese, pastrami, heirloom tomato, avocado, fried egg, toasted brioche, cognac mustard aioli and hand cut steak fries.
For my entrée, I selected the appetizer portion of the Signature Cobb Salad (11) of finely chopped greens, turkey breast, bacon, egg, tomatoes, crumbled bleu cheese, avocado, chives cobb dressing.
For dessert, Lew selected a Nutty Irishman (11) and I had the dessert sampler (10) of 2 portions of the Brown Derby original mini grapefruit cake, and a single potion of the chocolate marscarpone sphere infused with apricot-orange jam.
A starlett was working the dining room, but I didn't get her name.
