Background
|
We, again, had seats, as requested, at the sushi counter.
Jorge quickly greeted us with an apple amuse bouche over tuna, of his creation.
Whereas we had already decided to do so, we presented him, and Leo, with
Pixie Dust List cards.
Gary K visited and reported his knees are much better after the third procedure.
I started with Maker's Mark Manhattan (11) and Lew had a Hendricks Martini (11.25).
I enjoyed the Rock Shrimp Salad (18) with spicy baby greens, subarashii pears, Soy reduction, and Wasabi Cream.
Lew ordered the Seafood Ramen (50) of Lobster, Gulf Shrimp, Scallops, House-Made Ramen, Crisp Vegetables and Fragrant broth.
I enjoyed a Dragon Roll (25) of Spicy and Tataki Tuna, Shrimp Tempura, Avocado, Dragon Sauce and Hijiki-Shirataki Salad.
We had barely finished those when Jorge brought us each a scoop of frozen wine.
For dessert, we both ordered the Chocolate Pudding Cake (13) of luscious chocolate cake with Nutella filling, meringue kisses and Chantilly cream.
With hers, Lyd had a glass of Banfi Rose Regale Brachetto, Piedmont NV (13) and I couldn't resist a glass of Klein Constantia's Vin de Constance, South Africa '09 (19).
