| Tom selected Olive Garden for Thursday's lunch. Gerald was our server and not very good. Lew started with a 9oz Columbia Crest Cabernet Sauvignon (11.50) while I had iced tea (2.79). Lew selected the Lasagna Fritta Appetizer (9.29) and I chose the Shrimp Scampi Fritta (9.49) which was not as good as it has been on previous visits. Lew selected Ravioli di Portobello (9.99) and I chose the Cucina Mia (9.99), of angel hair, meat sauce with the addition of sausages (2.49). The appetizers took a long time to come out and our server did not suggest bringing the salad first, and, actually, forgot the salad completely. When the entrees arrived, sans salad, I told him to cancel the missing salad. He was embarrassed that he had forgotten it and brought it “to go” with the check. It was a less than ideal experience and we are in no hurry to return. |
