Lew will take me to the SBY airport to catch AA4888 at 0709 to CLT, arriving at 0856. At 1120, AA1695 departs CLT aiming for a 1258 arrival at MCO. Chris Peters will pick me up and deliver me to the Boardwalk Resort at WDW. I'll check in with the convention staff before heading down to an 1845 dinner at Flying Fish.

Lew and Buddy were up at 0430. I got up at 0500. We left for the airport at 0555 in a heavy fog. Check-in was easy, as was TSA. We boarded at 0640 and my computer bag had to go a few rows behind me as the one for my row was full. We needed to top off with fuel, and had a brief ATC hold, so we were wheels up on R14 at 0721. By 0820, we were on the ground in CLT. The arrival area has all planes in Terminal E away from the building with external steps and barricades funneling passengers into the building that make the cattle yard in PHL look good. It was an easy stroll to Terminal D and Gate D6. We started boarding at 1040 and I took 2D. Cathy quickly brought me a bourbon and ginger. With boarding completed, a lady was “promoted” from economy and took 2F. Push back at 1121. Wheels up on 18L at 1148. We landed at 1300 and Chris was waiting for me to whisk me to the Boardwalk Resort. We agreed that it will be 0630 on Sunday. Check-in was easy and I secured my scooter. A bellman took me to room 5279, overlooking the courtyard that faces the Crescent Lake. I went down to the Convention Center, but none of our people where there. I secured some Jack Daniels and Ginger Ale and returned to the room. At 1830, I presented myself at Flying Fish. Following good conversations with others at the bar, I returned to the room, and, at 2119, it was 70 and I slept with the balcony door open.
