Chris Peters will pick me up at the Boardwalk Resort at 0630 for the ride back to the airport. AA1899 leaves MCO at 0901 for PHL, arriving at 1129. AA4780 leaves PHL at 1445 for SBY, arriving at 1537, with Lew picking me up for the short drive home, and our last experience with the SBY airport.

I was up moments before the 0530 alarm. I packed and was in front of the hotel about 5 minutes before Chris arrived. Flightwise is reporting a 35 minute departure delay. With many delayed and canceled flights, check-in was experiencing heavy traffic of passengers trying to rebook, so it took 25 minutes to complete. TSA took another 10, so it was 0800 when I settled in at gate 39. The equipment is an Airbus 300, so the delay was for flight attendants trained on this equipment to catch up with us. The A330 has 32 seats in business class and they are self-contained, fully-reclineable, capsule seats. We were delayed another 45 minutes for weather in Philadelphia and finally departed at 1030. Following a few drinks, and a smoked turkey sandwich, I watched a little of the movie “Overlord” before taking about a 40 minute nap. We arrived in PHL at 1230 and it was a long walk to the shuttle from the A terminal to the F terminal; then a short walk to the “Cattle Yard” at the end of F terminal of 6 gates and minimal seating. The flight coming in from State College PA was delayed, so we finally boarded and departed at 1519. We landed and deplaned at 1550 and Lew was waiting for me. The bag came quickly and we headed home. We had a great dinner of red beans and rice, and at 2100, it was 71.
