The Plan: After driving to the Philadelphia Airport (PHL), we will board AA688, departing at 1055 for Orlando (MCO), arriving at 1330.
We expect tp be met by Mears transportation and taken to Bay Lake Tower.
It's unlikely that our room will be ready, so SKDL will head for the pool and Lew and I will go over to the Wave Lounge after securing my scooter.
Once we are in the room, SKDL will go to either the Top Of The World (TOTW), the Wave, or the Contempo Cafe for dinner while Lew and I have 1905 reservations at Citricos.
When we return, Sal and Kate will go into the Magic Kingdom for the Late Magic Hours.

At 0212, my watched beeped with a text message that AA688 had been canceled.
At 0400, I could no longer attempt to sleep and came down to deal with the problem.
American Airlines says the aircraft was pulled from service and there is no replacement.
The best they can offer for the 6 of us is AA1673 departing PHL at 2114, arriving MCO at 2352.
SKDL agreed, and we accepted the less-than-ideal conditions.
I made the necessary phone calls, texts and emails to cancel and/or reschedule activities and services.
Chris, the driver hired by Sal, picked us up at 1700 and we headed for PHL.
Lyd and I checked in and checked one bag.
The kiosk couldn’t find SKDL’s record, so it was back to Customer Service, where their luggage was subsequently checked.
Whereas we already had our boarding passes, we headed for TSA.
These boarding passes won’t scan, so it’s back to Customer Service for new boarding passes.
Flightwise reports our plane’s departure has been delayed until 2150.
The TSA scanner was broken, so I had a full-body pat down.
We decided on Legal Seafood for dinner, where Leo entertained everybody.
Out to Gate B9 and our flight has been further delayed to 2200.
Rather than the first class seats, for which we were booked and paid, Kate and the boys had 8ABC; Sal in 17C; with me in 18C and Lyd in 18D; all in economy.
Clear of the gate, the pilot reported we were 10th in line for take-off and finally achieved wheels-up at 2235.
We touched down at MCO at 0045 and taxied to the gate.
Eylor, the driver Chris recommended was waiting for us.
The baggage came quickly; at least the Ferrarello bags.
Our single bag was nowhere.
We went to baggage claim, along with about 60 other people to learn that our single bag had been placed on a different flight from PHL to MCO, which was subsequently canceled.
Therefore, we have no bag; no clothes; no meds.
Eylor took us to BLT where, at 0200, we finally went to bed, sleeping in our underwear, and I had no meds.
