We're scheduled to arrive in Dubuque at 0800 and will depart at 1230 for La Crosse, WI.

At 0600, it’s 70o, just south of Dubuque, IA, and I spent an hour on deck, half aft enjoying dawn on the receding river, and half, forward, enjoying the approaching Dubuque.
Lew and Patsy skipped breakfast before going ashore for the tour of Dubuque at 0900, while I paid the deposit for the NE Islands Tour, next summer, and then returned to the Sky Lounge, deck 4, aft.
I had a lovely chat with one of the dining stewards who used to work at Disneyland.
We went down for lunch at noon and soon received a text from Patsy advising she had planned to remain in town for lunch.
I called her to remind her we were sailing in 30 minutes and she returned in time.
With our normal lunch crowd at the table, the boat departed Dubuque headed for La Crosse, WI.
I went to the Tricky Trivia contest in the Sky Lounge where I did poorly at Mississippi River trivia and worse at Mark Twain trivia. I returned to the cabin to join Lew in a nap. At 1730, we went down for cocktails, and then, on to dinner.
The ladies went to the evening entertainment and I returned to the room. At 2125, it’s 66 and we’re underway to La Crosse, WI.
