| With Buddy in the kennel, Andrew's Transportation will take us to the airport to catch AA688, an Airbus 330, leaving PHL at 1048 and arriving at MCO at 1334. We've not yet booked ground transportation to BLT, but we'll try for Chris Peters, our old friend from Mears Transportation. When we arrive at BLT, it will be past lunch time, so we'll go over to the Wave Lounge for drinks and a snack and to secure my scooter. We have a 1905 ADR at Citricos for dinner. | |||
| We were up just a little before 0600 and finished packing. Buddy went to the Doggy Hotel yesterday afternoon. Mark, from Andrew’s Transportation picked us up at 0715, about 15 minutes early. The last 5 miles of the Blue Route, I-476 in Philadelphia, was congested, so we didn’t arrive at PHL Until 0905. Checkin was easy, as was TSA security check. We walked out to Gate A18. The flight boarded at 1015 and is an Airbus 320 with the luxurious bucket seats. Lew is in 4F and I’m across the aisle in 4H. We pushed back, on time, at 1040. With a lot of traffic, we were wheels up at 1115 on 27L. We had a nice snack tray and several drinks, and once ear buds were distributed, I watched a few episodes of Big Bang Theory on the entertainment system. A brief nap preceded our arrival at MCO at 1310. Chris was waiting for us, as usual, and whisked us to Bay Lake Tower. We agreed he’ll pick us up, on Tuesday, at 0900. Whereas our room was not ready, we headed for the Contemporary Bell Station to secure my scooter --- which was not there! A call to Buena Vista Rentals promised a delivery within the hour. We headed to the Wave Lounge for a snack. A phone call from Buena Vista Rentals reported the delivery of the scooter and a text notified us that room 7428 was ready for our occupancy. Following the snacks at the Wave Lounge, we secured the scooter and then procured liquor and mixers for the room. Shortly after 1600, we occupied 7428 and sent for our luggage. Naps followed. Around 1830, we left the room for the monorail ride to the Grand Floridian and Citricos. We returned to the room just in time for the 2100 fireworks over the castle. By 2130, Lew was in bed. At 2215, it’s 75. |
